RC-I Rating
Strutt|Criteria|Ratings|RC-I inserts the Room Criterion Mark I(RC-I) value calculated from the active row of the worksheet into Column D of the active row. The RC-I value is the arithmetic average of the octave band sound levels in the 500 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz octave bands, and includes several character indicators of the sound spectrum:
- Neutral - RC##(N): Noise spectrum has no particular frequency quality
- Rumble - RC##(R): Noise spectrum has an excess of low-frequency sound energy and has a 'rumbly' quality.
- Hiss - RC##(H): Noise spectrum has an excess of high-frequency sound energy and has a 'hissy' quality.
- Acoustically Induced Perceptible Vibration - RC##(RV): The noise spectrum lies in the region likely to cause perceptible vibration in the walls and ceiling of the room.
